Union Biometrica Selects Paragon Software Solutions to Automate Manufacturing and Accounting Systems

Paragon Software Solutions, a Microsoft Dynamics® Gold Certified Partner, announced that medical instrumentation manufacturer, Union Biometrica, selected the company to implement Microsoft Dynamics GP for automation of its manufacturing and accounting systems. Located in Holliston, Massachusetts, Union Biometrica is a recent spin-off of its parent company, Harvard Bioscience (NASDAQ: HBIO), and needed to obtain its own financial and manufacturing system. Microsoft Dynamics GP provides the integrated tools needed to fully understand financial data and processes. Union Bio implemented manufacturing software as well to improve timely product delivery and optimize inventory to enhance manufacturing throughput and business performance. The Union Bio system transition took place within three weeks with Paragon Software Solutions driving the system implementation process.
"We were faced with needing to implement our own system, and as a small company, could not risk putting sales and manufacturing on hold for any period of time during a system transition," commented Chris Bogan, Chief Operating Officer at Union Biometrica. Paragon Software Solutions Upgrades Long's Jewelers - Microsoft Dynamics® GP Accounting System

Paragon Software Solutions, a Microsoft Dynamics® Gold Certified Partner, announced that high-end jewelry retailer, Long's Jewelers, selected the company to upgrade its Microsoft Dynamics GP Version 9.0 accounting system to the latest Version 10. Based in Boston, Long's Jewelers wanted the enhanced features offered by the new system including increased security capabilities. After hours, Paragon performed the upgrade remotely to minimize interruptions and impact to business during operating hours. The server upgrade was successfully performed overnight, and subsequent user station upgrades followed without interruption or downtime.
"With Paragon's support and experience, we were able to successfully get our system upgraded to utilize all the enhanced features of Microsoft Dynamics GP Version 10," commented Ronald Gove, systems information officer at Long's Jewelers. "The upgrade was less expensive than we initially planned because of Paragon's efficiency and remote capabilities, and no downtime or problems were incurred. System upgrades are necessary to maintain internal efficiencies. Paragon drives the process from beginning to end, making it all very manageable and ensuring an on-schedule transition."
Founded in 1878, Long's Jewelers has six locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and currently employs 150 people.
